HC RT Torax Poruba gets past FTC-Telekom in the Visegrád Cup Semi Finals

Czech side HC RT Torax Poruba became the fourth semi final team in the Visegrád Cup.

HC RT Torax Poruba-FTC-Telekom 5-2 (6-4 on aggregate)

FTC-Telekom took the first game of the semifinals by the score of 2-1 on home ice. HC RT Torax Poruba went with Hynek Kudela in the net with Gergely Arany starting for the visitors. In the first period both teams had a two minute minot penalty but there team managed to score a power play goal. FTC-Telekom managed to break the scoreless deadlock with a goal by Richárd Tóth, with Renátó Tóth assisting.

Early in the second period HC RT Torax Poruba scored twice to take a 2-1 lead and to pull even in total goals for the semifinals. Petr Obdrzalek tied the game up at 1-1 in the opening minutes of the second period with Filip Dundacek scoring minutes later to give HC RT Torax Poruba their first lead of the series. With just over a minute left in the period Patrik Husak found the back of the net to double the HC RT Torax Poruba lead. 

In the third period the teams had offsetting penalties but their team scored during the four on four hockey. Later on Myles Fitzgerald scored an unassisted goal to make it a one score game. However Marek Slavik put HC RT Torax Poruba back up by two goals. Late in the game FTC-Telekom pulled the goalie for the extra attacker but in the net Michal Hlinka scored an empty net goal as HC RT Torax Poruba picked up the win and the sweep as HC RT Torax Poruba moves on to the semi finals.
