With the conclusion of the group stage of the inaugural Visegrad Cup, the single elimination pairings are set for the next phase of the Cup. The first leg will be played on October 4th with the rematch coming on the 11th. Nitra and DVTK were the group stage champions.
HK Nitra defeated UTE 6-3 on the last match day of the group stage after UTE had a 2-0 lead after the first period. The Slovak team won the group with four victories, they will be taking on the fourth place team in the Hungarian group, MAC Budapest. In the group stage Nitra defeated MAC 5-1.
The other game of the day was DVTK against Zilina where the Hungarian team won 4-3, the two teams will face off against each other in the next round.
The second place in the Hungarian group was Fehérvár AV19 who will take on Nové Zámky, in the group stage the Slovak team won 4-3.
The Slovak second place team was HK Poprád who will be taking on UTE, who they beat 4-2.
